Advocate
For
Something You Care About...
...Lend your voice
to champion the cause

Everyday you have an opportunity to be an
advocate. Being an advocate doesn’t always
mean participating in public policy
discussions. Being an advocate is as easy as
talking about why you support United Way and
why the issues we are addressing are
important to you. Advocating does not take a
lot of time or money, but it does take a
commitment to talk about our community and
how you are making it better.
Anyone can champion the cause. Whether
you’re speaking out to improve programs to
fight childhood hunger, senior citizen care
and disaster relief preparedness, reaching
out to members of Congress, or wearing the
LIVE UNITED shirt to show your support, you
can help inspire hope and create
opportunities for a better tomorrow. Being
an advocate is as easy as talking about why
you support United Way and why the issues we
are addressing are important to you.
Advocating does not take a lot of time or
money, but it does take a commitment to talk
about our community and how you are making
it better.
So go ahead and advocate
in a LIVE UNITED world. Do it in public.
Be
visible. Be loud.
