Combined Federal Campaign

cfclogoThe Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the only authorized solicitation of employees in the federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations. It continues to be the largest and most successful workplace fundraising model in the world.

The mission of the CFC is to support and to promote philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

By designating their gift through the CFC, federal employees can rest assured that their donations are going to the causes or issues that they support. They can also feel secure in the knowledge that all charities listed in the Resource Guide have met the high standards set by the Office of Personnel Management.

The CFC sends almost all of what it collects to the charities that provide services to people, spending only a small percentage on administrative costs. (11 percent in 2008.)

Per federal regulations, an independent CPA performs a yearly CFC audit.
