Do you want to be a part of something new and exciting? Come be a part of a FLASH MOB created by the Heart of Arkansas United Way for our 2011 LIVE UNITED Campaign. 

WHAT: United Way Flash Mob!!!   We are going ALL out and want this to really grab attention. To really wow the crowds we are thinking of doing something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UE3CNu_rtY

WHO: We want YOU to come out, get involved, and be a part of this new and exciting event. You don't have to be a good dancer, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic, fun, and want to help to spread the word!  All ages are welcome! All participants will receive a LIVE UNITED t-shirt! 

WHEN: Saturday, August 21^st around 10:00 a.m. (We will be holding practices on the Tuesday and Thursday prior to the FLASH MOB- Time and place TBA)

WHERE: TOP SECRET, Little Rock, AR

WHY: United Way is trying to spread the word about our LIVE UNITED Campaign Kick-Off and we thought that a Flash Mob was just the thing.

All participants must pre-register prior to the event.  Once you sign up, the "top secret" details will be e-mailed to you.  Don't forget to invite your friends and family! The bigger, the better! Every year the Heart of Arkansas United Way hosts a Leadership Society Recognition Reception. Invited guests include more than 700 caring individuals who donate at least $1,000 to Heart of Arkansas United Way and its agencies. This event honors their generous gifts. 

Before every campaign season the United Way kicks off with a celebration. At the celebration we provide the nonprofit organizations that are a part of Heart of Arkansas' Community Fund the opportunity to be seen by a larger populous. There is also free food, prizes and entertainment.

Every year the Heart of Arkansas United Way hosts a Children's Holiday Luncheon. The luncheon targets children that are less fortunate than others and students from Pulaski County, Little Rock, and North Little Rock School Districts attended. Each child received two wrapped presents and a stuffed animal. Santa and Mrs. Claus were there to help hand out gifts and listen to what each child wanted for Christmas. Brian and Terri Kinder of Kindersongs entertained the children with their songs and Derrick Rose performed magic tricks. Tom Brannon of Today's THV emceed the event.
